Having used LUTHER|LANARD for both a Franchise Agreement review and development of an Asset Purchase Agreement, I would without hesitation refer and use the firm again for any of my business needs. Kim went above and beyond in closing this deal to the point where she was driving the timelines with the sellers. Fantastically client focused firm.
Being new to the world of franchising, reading through and understanding FDD & FA documents was a daunting task to say the least. I just didn’t know what I didn’t know. At the very least, I knew I needed help from an experienced franchise law firm to make sure I understood exactly what I was potentially getting myself into. After researching various firms, I reached out to Lanard and Associates and set up a consultation call with Nancy. The call with Nancy went great. She took the time to get to know me a bit, and made sure she understood what kind of help I was looking for. She was very transparent about what services her firm would provide, and how much money those services would cost. They weren’t the most expensive or the least expensive of the firms I looked at, and I got a good vibe when we spoke, so the price was right for me. Kimberly Meyer was the attorney assigned to my case, and she lived up to everything that Nancy promised. Kimberly was very friendly and easy to work with. She spent a good 3 hours on the phone with me detailing all the pertinent parts of the documents, including the information that the documents did not contain. She was quick to respond to all of my follow-up questions regardless of how early or late in the day I emailed her. I think there was one day where Kimberly was on vacation and I had a question, but not to fear as Nancy was all over it! I felt informed and prepared going into my first Discovery Day, and with Kimberly’s guidance, I was even able to negotiate some of the terms of the Franchise Agreement! Great communication throughout the entire process which is huge for me! I highly recommend working with Kimberley and Nancy when evaluating franchise brands, and franchisors.

Dear Nancy & Kim,
It was a pleasure working with both of you! From start to finish, communication was exceptional, & I knew exactly what I was getting into as I assessed my upcoming business opportunity. Nancy you were very thorough about each step in the process, the services available to me, & the timing of each step. At no point did I feel pressured to engage in other services, but you did a great job explaining when & why I may need those services in the future. Kim – thank you for walking me step by step through the agreement terms, & taking the time to answer ALL my questions. In no way did I feel rushed, & I appreciated the insight & advice regarding some key items that I was able to successfully negotiate into my contract terms. Overall, I would highly recommend Nancy & her team. I spoke with several other firms, & I immediately clicked with Nancy. Down to earth, clear & direct communication. They delivered on everything we agreed upon, on time, & without issue.”
Thank you for your help through this process. Your attention to detail was truly appreciated.
Attached you will find the signed franchise agreement with the addendum you drafted.
